Garden House

The property is beautiful and located in a really nice neighborhood.

I liked everything about the property

The garden is really a great place for sitting, dining and having a good time outside. There is space for 8 at the table. There is light in the evening and even a small waterfall. The area is calm and peaceful. Note that the garden is the garden of the main house and you may cross the owners for a nice chat or when they have their barbecue... The location is easy access from principal roads and 15-20 min drive to most locations of interest in the San Diego area. Trolley station is not too far away (5 min by taxi ). Uber is working well. Close to university city.

The kitchen is not fit for cooking. No oven, no dishwasher (no washing machine neither) , and very basic pans , pots and blunt cutlery. We had to fetch extra equipment from friends to be able to cook a real meal. The kitchen and the bed are in the same room, which is ok but limits really the space in the kitchen to one person active at a time. Equipment and tools are outdated and would benefit of an overhaul. The barbecue in the garden is not for the guests and exclusive to the landlords. In summary, if you buy your food from a take away it's a great location, if you want to do your own cooking or BBQ you'll likely be disappointed.

The water, supposedly filtered, tasted terrible. The fridge made weird noises. The bed was too soft for me.

The hosts were very friendly, the setting of the little house was beautiful

Love the surrounding area and the garden area. My kids had lot of fun

The water drainage system doesn’t work well. Water stuck long time on both kitchen and bathroom sink.

That it was it's own separate residence.

The decor could have been cuter.

Potentially a great stay with some adjustments needed

Poor heating system. Hard to manage front door lock. Clogged drain bathroom. When we arrived room temperature was 57 degrees and never got over 64

Quiet Location, Easy parking option. Feeling of house living

Problems with Mosquitoes and ants. Slightly old house. Needs major refurbishments. NO proper bedroom as such. Utensils and staff like coffee power and tea bags were years old !. No room services even we stayed for 6 days.
