Lovely spot, peaceful but near the action. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well presented and a tea/coffee station as well as drinking water on tap, enhanced the stay

Bit of a climb from the beach up a steep road, but nothing major

De kamer is echt prachtig: luxe, stijlvol ingericht, heel schoon en ontzettend comfortabel. Het bed ligt heerlijk en het interieur is met veel smaak gedaan. Wij zaten bovenin en hadden een mooi uitzicht op zee, wat echt een pluspunt is. De douche is ook erg fijn — tenminste, als er warm water is. De locatie is rustig, wat prettig is, maar binnen minder dan 10 minuten lopen sta je al op het drukke Hiriketiya Beach. Al met al een heel mooie plek met luxe kamers, maar gezien de prijs hadden we net wat meer service en comfort verwacht.

Bij aankomst was het even zoeken naar de receptie, die niet staat aangegeven en zich op de bovenste etage bevindt. Dat voelde wat onhandig en zorgde niet echt voor een warm welkom. Voor deze prijs verwacht je toch iets meer ontvangst, bijvoorbeeld een welkomstdrankje. Houd er wel rekening mee dat je ’s nachts geluiden hoort van blaffende honden en pauwen die flink kunnen krijsen — oordoppen zijn geen overbodige luxe. Helaas hadden wij tijdens ons verblijf van vier nachten twee avonden geen warm water, wat voor deze prijsklasse echt een minpunt is. Daarnaast vonden wij het jammer dat er geen zwembad is.

Great value for money, the room was comfortable and clean, he provided filtered water which is always a plus. Great breakfast place across the road.

Loved our stay here - the rooms are lovely and with a huge bathroom and the staff were so friendly. It’s a great location too - walking distance to the beach and all the bars and restaurants but lovely and peaceful too.

Vishwa, the manager, is excellent, very helpful, responsive, and pleasant to deal with. The place is well designed, has a nice view, and is located within walking distance to the beach, different restaurants and coffee shops
