Harbour House

A very tranquil place to stay especially given its location in a busy County town. The Proprietor is welcoming and makes every effort to ensure that your stay is both comfortable and relaxing. Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing beside the canal harbour and yet close to all the facilities that Tullamore has to offer. A final bonus is that the Motorway is just 3minutes from the House. Would definitely go back

Location of the place

I didn't like the fact that there was no welcome tray allowing me to make a coffee or a tea. You will find this in any B&B, guest house or hotel in Ireland! I understood that the person didn't want to provide any breakfast. Fair enough! However, I felt that offering a welcome tray would be the minimum for the price charged!!! I hate being taken for a fool! Saying that nobody complained about it's less that genuine. This looks like greed for me! I didn't like either the fact that there was no heating in the room in the morning. I've no problem to sleep without heating but I appreciate to get off the bed with a warm temperature.

Host was very good

Really comfortable room with free parking outside the house. Room and bathroom were really well presented and clean. Really enjoyed my stay.

No TV in room. Had to check out before 10.00.
