Unawatuna Beach Bunglow

Thank you for the whole staff for our relaxing classic beach holiday at Unawatuna Beach Bungalow. Everywhere perfect cleanliness (room, bathroom, common areas), ocean view from our room and very kind, helpful staff. When we needed, we got immediate help from the staff otherwise we could live our days calmly. We would definitely come back, hope to see you soon!! :)

Excellent little hotel just a few paces from the beach. Lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Can't remember names but a big thanks to the guy who cleaned our room every day and the "in house" tuk tuk driver who couldn't have been more helpful. Delicious breakfast. Loads of fabulous restaurants nearby. Would definitely return.

we stayed here for 3 nights. we had a nice double room with a nice four poster bed. room was clean and spacious. Although there was warm water, it was mostly warm during the day and not at night when we wanted to shower (luke warm at best). They only served western breakfast with toast, which is not our favourite (at all), so it was a pity they did not serve any sri lankan breakfast (even if it only would have been roti or something). Especially the last night it was quite noisy outside and there was loud music (presumably coming from the beach). Of course the owners cannot help that, but it did keep us awake, unfortunately. the location is very nice though (except for the noise), it is very close to the beach and close to the main street with restaurants and shops.

The room was a little dark and there was some noise from the street at night BUT the hotel is a 30 second walk from the best part of the beach, the owner and staff are all friendly and helpful, the breakfast is plentiful (fruit selection, Sri Lankan omelette, bread, jam and butter), the AC works well, and most importantly it is very good value for money. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is budget conscious but not wanting to compromise on a central location.

Family run hotel. Very friendly with clean nice rooms. Good breakfast and next to the beach. High value for your money. Close to all beach restaurants and shops. Recommend this hotel and will visit again if we come back to Unawatuna.

We stayed for one night and the hotel is on the beach side. It’s a place where you can access many restaurants, bars and places to have a sunbath. Easy access to beach. Clean rooms,toilets and comfy beds. Food was good. Excellent place to stay with your loved ones.
