The Annexe at Asbit Lodge

We booked the accommodation directly with the owner, Claire. Communication was superb, and we were even emailed on the day we were arriving to inform us that the room was ready should we need to check in early. We were greeted by Claire on our arrival and shown to the accommodation. I stayed at the Annexe i last year and was more than pleased that they had availability for me again this year. This time we were staying in Annexe ii. Both rooms are very similar in specification, and each can comfortably sleep a family of three. The room has everything you need for a stay in the area. There was a small fridge, microwave as well as plates, dishes and cutlery etc should you wish to have a meal in the room. There was also a pack of cereal bars, fresh orange juice, and fresh milk as well as the usual tea and coffee tray. The beds (1 double and 1 single) were really comfortable, and both myself and my 15 year old grandson had two great night's sleep. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. There is a lovely en-suite bathroom with an electric corner shower. The towels supplied were lovely and big. We were left very much to our own devices, whilst knowing that Claire was at the adjoining house should we require anything. The accommodation has plenty of private off-road parking and is situated on a quiet side street. I am hoping to visit the area again in a few weeks' time and will hopefully be able to book again at the Annexe.

Nice and tucked away with our own little walkway and friendly cat. Very comfortable bed and nice powerful shower.

Maybe a little breakfast hamper may have been nice. I did wrongly presume that breakfast would be on offer.

We were met personally by Claire and made to feel very welcome. The little extras (milk, tea, and water) were greatly appreciated after a long car journey on a very hot day.

Excellent communication with the host. The annexe was very comfortable and clean, with nice little touches such as fresh orange juice and cereal bars. The photos actually didn't do the annexe justice!

A bottle of water would have been nice as we don't drink tap water & forgot to bring some with us. After a day & eve at the races, dancing the night away to Tom Jones, water when we got back was what we needed. Not a complaint at all as everything else was lovely!
