There was no breakfast or tea/coffee facilities in the room

The reception staff did not speak basic English...apart from asking for a 700baht deposit. They were unable to tell me why I needed to pay the deposit. None of the many channels on the TV had English language. The staff were unable to tell me why. This is inacceptable...no BBC, no CNN.... these are basuc channels if you accept farang guests.
