Merchants House was not only the BEST place we stayed at in all of Corfu but it probably is one of the best places we have ever stayed at in all our of travels. The time spent researching the history of the building, the thought that they put into decorating not only the rooms but the grounds, the sitting area, the bar, the breakfast area…..was like something from a magazine. It was “blow me away and knock my socks off” PERFECT. The quality of everything in the room….furniture, bed, linens, bathing products…..all not only with quality in mind but for the health of the planet, Greek made….every little detail was wonderful. They thought of everything to make your stay unforgettable….and more than succeeded. The breakfast was just as perfect with homemade granola and bread, fresh squeezed juice to start the day. To top it all off the Marieke and David took the time to talk to all the guests, making us feel welcomed. This is a place we will never forget.

This was the best place we stayed during our 8 day bike trip around Corfu! The space was wonderful and the included breakfast was delicious with great coffee and local ingredients...including honey from right there in the village! The owners are very nice and offered to lock up our bikes in the back storage area. The location was easy to find as it's right in the middle of the village and right around the corner is a group of tavernas, all with delicious food (we went to them all except one!) It was such a joy to stay at the Merchant's House in Old Perithia!

This was absolutely one of the best stay in Corfu. In the middle of nowhere there is peaceful old village with this ultimate stay! Owners are very kind and friendly. You can feel history from this accommodation. Almost everything inside feels as original from past. It was quiet and peaceful stay. Breakfast was legendary made from local sources - bread, honey, jam, etc. Love to visit this again in future!

This small boutique hotel is a place to come back for a longer period of time for sure. the hosts are so nice, the room-which was a little home with all the furniture and the living room and the decoration was a peace of art! we could stay there much more if we had the time. the area is amazing and the Oforos taverna- which is 20 meters by was so welcoming and tasty and inviting.
