I booked [Booking.com](https://www.booking.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) from 6–8 May for my graduation and specifically chose Conti Inn BnB because it was within walking distance to town, so I wouldn’t need to spend extra money on transport. I made the booking two weeks in advance and received a confirmation email, confirmation number, and PIN, with proof of payment. When I arrived, I was told that my booking was not on their system. I showed all my confirmation details and payment proof, but the staff member assisting me, Johnny, explained that there had apparently been a crash on Booking.com’s side. I have used Booking.com many times before and have never experienced anything like this. The BnB was fully booked, so for the first night I was moved to another BnB in Amberdale, which was far from town. This completely defeated the purpose of why I booked Conti Inn BnB in the first place. I then had to spend extra money on cabs to get around during an already expensive graduation trip. On the second night, I was finally moved back to Conti Inn BnB, but the whole experience caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during an important occasion. My graduation should have been a happy and memorable experience, but this situation negatively affected it. Very disappointing experience overall.

The location. I needed something in town and I got just that.. I booked a budget room because I was stopping over for just the night, but the kind gentleman at reception upgraded me to a luxury room. The room was spacious, clean and tactfully decorated. I loved that the linen and towels are white, it gives extra assurance on the cleanliness.

The sink does not seem to be connected to hot water. I was afraid they'd forgotten to switch on the geyser or something. But to my pleasant surprise, the shower had hot water.

Room was neat, surroundings very friendly, the reception was excellent, arrived very late but they were very accommodating.
