Das Fransvliet Guest House war für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Winelands zu genießen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer super sauber sowie ansprechend eingerichtet, das Frühstück ist Mega lecker und vorallem ist das Personal jederzeit super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Atmosphäre war über den gesamten Aufenthalt sehr familiär und perfekt für entspannte Stunden nach einem Winetasting.

From start to finish, this place is amazing. The welcoming and friendliness of the staff needs a special mention. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they went out of their way to make it special for us in any way possible. The property was also really clean and exceptionally well equiped.

Nothing not to like.

Wood-fired hot tub worked really well and heated up quickly. Charcuterie board was lovely and generous.

The 2-bedroom villa is less that 100 metres from the R45 (main/busy road going into Franschhoek). This is not a private or relaxing spot as advertised. Traffic is visible and audible from the garden/verandah area. In addition, property is right next to Maison Estate, where a wedding went on until the small hours of the morning. Only reason I would stay again is if I was attending a wedding next door and needed a short walk to bed. Bath in the main bathroom did not heat beyond lukewarm. Random staff kept popping up. First, gardener/groundsman appeared to pick up fruit and tend to garden beds, then hostess/manager to enquire about timings on food we had ordered (multiple times). Phoning ahead would have been appreciated. Breakfast and coffee were below average. Trash in the river and surrounding farmland.

Our stay at Vanessa’s guesthouse on her breathtaking wine farm was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome to the attentive care of her lovely team, to the magnificent gardens and the sunset views, every detail was perfect. The suite was fully equipped and luxuriously comfortable, and the fresh breakfast in the bistro was a delight with options to suit every dietary requirement. As vegetarians, we particularly appreciated the options for us. We especially loved the padel court, with top-quality equipment provided for endless fun and fitness. Vanessa kindly provided the most helpful recommendations and tips for our stay in Franschhoek. The guesthouse is ideally located in the town with many nearby wine farms and restaurants to explore. A true gem in Franschhoek — full of charm, beauty, and heart. Thank you, Vanessa — we cannot wait to return!
