Thambara Resort

The location is near the Polonnaruwa train station so if you are catching the 3.30am train to Colombo like us, then you will not regret it. It is 8 minutes walking to the train station. The room is exceptionally clean, hot showers, aircon is cool, bed is good. What more do you want. Its super value for money to just stay for the evening and rest.

Nothing, it was very good value for the location that we needed to be close to the station for the early 3.30am morning train. This is the best value, clean and staff are on hand to help.

Well cleaned and new conditioned rooms. Location friendly for all needs you want. (Located on center of the town polonnaruwa .) And very few minutes for polonnaruwa ancient city. morning tea is the best thing 😉

Close to Railway Station Polonnaruwa. It is good for budget travellers.

I stayed at the resort for one night. It was an enjoyable experience. The staff was pleasant, and the service was excellent. The resort was nicely decorated. Hotel facilities were convenient. A secure environment to stay and dine. The food was excellent. The resort is close to Galviharaya, Parakrama Samudraya, Polonnaruwa National Museum, and the Wax Museum therefore overall an excellent location to stay.
