Very comfy apartment with all the need inside. Nice family they have always been accommodating with us, tasty food at the place, we recommend the Dolphin Kottu !!!

So much dirty Mold (Mushrooms) was everywhere in room (on ceiling,windows and on pillows) and we were so lucky that we didn’t get sick At 5:30 there is a church speaker singing and waking you up At 8:00 their dog barks and wakes you up Wifi gets offline time to time

The room was clean and spacious, everything worked well and all this for a very reasonable price. The son of the owner was very friendly and the location was pretty central.

First thing we were asked upon check in was to pay which wasn't great (but then they let us pay later). Also there was a lot of noise in the early morning. This started at 5AM already. Some came from outside and some perhaps from the kitchen or not sure where. It was not good for our sleep. Access to/from the beach best to avoid at night, you have to pass a graveyard and there is a gathering place for young slightly dodgy men. We had to make a detour one night as they behaved a little weird with us. Overall the atmosphere of the place wasn't great and we only came to sleep and did all our eating and hanging around outside. So can't say anything about the food. Finally, owner (the father) was a little pushy and made us feel uncomfortable, when we decided, also on the basis of other reviews we read, not to do anything organised by him. He then started to more or less ignore us.Maybe it was because one morning we changed our mind about having breakfast there who knows. We didn't feel like we were his guests or were very welcome in general.

Comfortable bed, really good air conditioning and ceiling fan, clean ensuite bathroom, nice shower with good pressure. The breakfast is amazing. Definitely the nicest breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. Everything cooked fresh each morning (we got a tour of the kitchen to see the food being prepared) Best of all was the staff. Super friendly and helpful, gave us lots of information about yours, restaurants etc. Very helpful organizing whale watching tours and tuk tuks, but not pushy at all about doing tours if we weren't interested. The manager even warned us that whales hadn't been seen recently and if we did the whale watching tour we probably wouldn't see them. He didn't try to sell us every tour and trip etc, just gave us useful and trustworthy information. Amazing value for money.

The wifi is not very good, but this is really the same all over Sri Lanka. The manager let us use the separate business wifi which was very nice of him
