The Tottam Beach Hotel - Trincomalee

Liegt etwas außerhalb aber mit Tuck Tuck ist man in 15min in der Stadt. Strand vor Ort war menschenleer.

Badezimmer war nicht so sauber, wurde aber schnell gereinigt. Außenanlagen könnte besser in Schuss gehalten werden. Preis nicht ganz gerechtfertigt.

La struttura potrebbe avere un grandissimo potenziale dati i grandi spazi a disposizione e la spiaggia molto bella su cui si affaccia. Le camere ristrutturate sembrano abbastanza carine, ma le triple (stanza dove eravamo noi) sono un po’ più datate.

Lo staff non è molto preparato, il proprietario in primis è molto scostante. Come avevamo letto in altre recensioni propone delle escursioni, poi non dice più nulla anche dopo vari solleciti (noi alla fine ci siamo dovute organizzare per conto nostro). La spiaggia è molto bella ma ci sono 3 lettini senza materassini e nessuno ti dice che si possono richiedere insieme anche agli asciugamani. Prezzo decisamente elevato rispetto a quel che offre che è poco e niente.

Il posto è carino, vicino ad una spiaggia deserta e pulita in cui è piacevole stare. La pulizia della camera è buona.

Non ci siamo ritrovati con il prezzo pagato a fine soggiorno, che comprendeva la camera, un pranzo, due colazioni (non sapevamo che non fossero comprese, hanno un costo di circa 7€ a persona, ci è sembrato eccessivo) e due bottiglie d'acqua che ci sono state date a colazione senza che le avessimo richieste (pensavamo quindi fossero comprese). Purtroppo ci siamo accorti quando siamo venuti via quindi non abbiamo potuto chiedere chiarimenti. I lettini erano solo 3, ce n'era poi un quarto senza materasso. Peccato perché è piacevole stare nella spiaggia di fronte ma non è attrezzata per gli ospiti. Il posto in generale, negli spazi esterni, potrebbe essere curato di più. Il cancello all'arrivo risulta sempre chiuso e non c'è nessuno del personale che apra o controlli. Il wifi spesso non funzionava. La camera in cui siamo stati noi, una tripla, era adiacente ad un'altra camera e si sentiva perfettamente ciò che si diceva nell'altra perché c'è uno spazio tra il muro e il tetto, era come essere nella stessa stanza.

Prachtige ligging aan het mooie strand. De huisjes (op palen) zijn comfortabel, hebben een lekker zitje voor de deur en enigszins uitzicht op zee.

Het matras had diepe kuilen. De family room was verouderd en er kwamen meerdere beesten de kamer binnen door de gleuven en kieren. Dat was bij het huisje op palen niet het geval. De vier strandbedjes doen wat troosteloos aan. Je zou daar veel meer van kunnen maken zodat het aangenaam is om daar langere tijd te verblijven, zoals het nu is ga je daar niet lang aan het strand liggen. Her en der lag er afval op het terrein. Parasols waren stuk, heeft verloederd aangezicht. Manager hebben wij als aardig maar ook wat afstandelijk ervaren. We kregen het idee dat het niet in dank werd afgenomen als je geen ontbijt of diner afneemt. Wij vinden het juist belangrijk om vrij te zijn in waar je eet en kozen ervoor om daarvoor naar het centrum van Trincomalee te gaan (op 7 min met de scooter). Eigen tuk tuk of scooter is aan te bevelen om naar het centrum te kunnen komen.

Manque quelques chaises longues sur la plages

It is a small, peaceful resort, right on a stunning beach, set in lovely grounds. The beach was very clean and so quiet, that at times it felt like our private beach. It is completely undeveloped, with a few wooden sunbeds under frangipani trees and a volleyball net. We didn't need anything else, so it was perfect for us. We felt safe swimming there at all times. The hotel provides beach towels. Breakfast and dinner were served in a very pleasant restaurant, with sandy floor and wooden tables and chairs. The breakfasts were varied and very tasty and Mr. Silva was able to cook delicious, gluten free rotis and hoppers for us, and we can honestly say that they were superb. He really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. We had two dinners at the resort and the fish was exceptional and reasonably priced. We also had a Sri Lankan vegetarian curry, which was also delicious. He helped us with motorbike hire and onward transport. The rest of the staff were also just great, so helpful and friendly. They work incredibly hard to keep the rooms, the grounds and the beach very clean. We had a deluxe bungalow which was very comfortable. The storage was OK, but the room could do with some hanging space for our clothes and some hooks. We had such a fabulous stay at this exceptional resort.

I really didn't like the constant mechanical noise of the water pump when I was relaxing on the verandah. Although it wasn't too loud, it was a bit irritating. Luckily, we didn't notice it inside our room. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a bungalow away from the pump.

Très bel hôtel face a la mer. Chambre propre et salle de bain super agréable !

Le bruit des voisins qu’on entend super fort Le bruit de la messe le dimanche à 5h30 qui nous réveille car on a l’impression que l’église et dans la salle de bain La réactivité du gérant. Il nous propose d’aller voir les dauphins et ne nous laisse plus aucun signe de vie ensuite. Pas du tout réactif et à la limite du désagréable
