Ladismith Manor

I thought we would stay in the Manor House and not in the servants quarters out buildings.

A very tipical accomodation in an old house (manor) with all the necessary for a nice stay. Very nice wellcoming and an interesting discussion with Alex the owner. We had also a very nice breakfast which is available on request.

Ladismith Manor is centrally located and a quick turn off the R62 and easy to get into town and move around. Breakfast was hearty. The room was to my expectation. The pool was an added bonus and much needed after the drive to Ladismith.

The only issue I can note is the lack of plugs, but I require my laptop, tablet and power backs charged up as it was a trip to see family but I still had to work, so that was a little frustrating.

It was in an excellent location and enabled us to walk and explore the area with ease. Relatively safe parking behind the property.

Old house so very creaky at night and room was very hot and airless (mid-summer to be fair). Rooms needed to be aired out more frequently as smelt stale. Owner was very friendly but could also have read the mood better (we were tired and wanted to relax but owner was very chatty) and ended up feeling slightly uncomfortable.

That it in Town. Ideal for stopover

No aircon and in summer it's very hot.

Host was super friendly, room spacious and clean, swimming pool available to use. Walking distance from Gypsy's Gin Bar.
