It was such a cosy home from home. We saw the aurora, the house was clean and the owners were lovely.

The apartment turned out to be a basement unit of a house, with only one small window that doesn’t face a wall but still lets in limited light. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable smell of humidity, especially in the sleeping area. The owner seems aware of this issue and has placed an air purifier there, but it didn’t help much. The bed was also far too soft — and I’m someone who actually likes soft beds, but this one was overly so, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. There was a pump in the bathroom which pumps the sewage water out of the apartment and it was very annoying. The entrance area in front of the apartment is quite dark, and we struggled to find the keyhole — we even had to use our phone flashlights to open the door. The photos of the fjord shown in the listing were a bit misleading, as they don’t reflect the actual view from the apartment. We didn’t meet the owners in person; they left the key inside along with a detailed instruction book. To be honest, the tone of those instructions came across as rather strict and even slightly unfriendly in parts. They were extremely specific — reminding guests to take out the garbage, remove bed covers before leaving, and not to roll luggage on the long deck stairs leading to the apartment. It felt a bit excessive and unwelcoming. There was also an unfortunate issue with the hot water, which ran out suddenly on the first night. Thankfully, it worked fine the next evening. Overall, our stay wasn’t very comfortable, and there are several aspects that could be improved to make it a more pleasant experience for future guests.

The location is really great. We are glad we stayed here and not in the city. The hosts are very friendly. Philip gave us lots of useful advice on where to go and what to see, and also called us when the northern lights started.

Świetna lokalizacja, przemili gospodarze i czysty apartament, ktory dla pary (a nawet czterech osób w zupełności spełnia wszelkie potrzeby. Bardzo polecam!

Jedynym mankamentem był brak większych kubków do picia kawy/herbaty oraz psujący się czajnik.

Logement spacieux et confortable, tout équipé pour passer un séjour mémorable ! Très calme et verdoyant. Lit spacieux et douillet. En prime, des rennes viennent visiter parfois le jardin ! Les environs sont sublimes. La ville de Tromsø n'est pas loin non plus, permettant d'allier randonnées et shopping facilement. Sarah a été une hôte très disponible et très agréable.

After reading the welcome book I felt like someone was trying to teach me how to behave in a house. Guests must remove the sheets from the bed.
