Kata Bai D - SHA Certificate Hotel

The wonderful Sam & Kee & their fabulous staff run the best inn/guesthouse I’ve stayed in - anywhere! Super chill place, extremely clean & comfortable rooms with all the details covered from blow dryer, fridge, laundry rack, kettle, shampoo etc. I stayed here in Jan 2024 & came back for 10 days this trip. 4 min walk to the beach. There is a toaster, microwave, toaster oven & condiments for guest use & they have bread, jam for toast in the morning! And tea, coffee hot water 24/7. The ladies who clean & look after the inn are special. I wish all the hotels & guesthouses were this welcoming. Sam & Kee are the very best.

What a lovely place to stay. It gives hostel vibes in terms of it's community space in the lobby with free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water melon, but with nice big hotel suits, with 2 rooms and en suit bathroom. Lovely decor, nice big clean rooms. Sam and his wife (the owners) might just be the nicest people on the planet! They held a community new years eve lunch for current and past guests, and even though I had to move to another hotel because unfortunately this place wasn't available my entire stay in Phuket, sam and his wife still allowed my to borrow beach towels, come for tea, etc - just lovely. 2 minute walk from Kata Beach and about a 15 minute walk from the world class (in my opinion) Kata Noi Beach. If you are traveling to anywhere near this area, do not stay anywhere else! Great for solo travelers, couples, and families.

Amazing staff who are really friendly, very spacious room with good bathroom.

My stay at Kata Bai D was superb. Upon checking in, I was greeted by Deng and she was delightful. The staff here really cares about your stay and will do everything they can to make it wonderful. I got upgraded to a huge suite and the location was simply perfect. You also get access to a ton of amenities. This place was amazing.

My room was facing the street so there was s decent amount of noise. But the noise settles down after a while. There’s also no elevator, but I didn’t find it to be a huge issue.

The place is simple and impeclable clean. The staff are very helpfull and always with an smile. I got sick on my last day and they were extremely nice and helpful, even took me to the hospital in their own car. I strongly recommend the place.

No elevator

The room was super clean, spacious, very light and comfortable. It had everything I needed during my stay (minibar, towels, hairdryer, water, shampoo, soap...). The location was very good, close to everything, but in a quieter area of Kata Beach. The best thing was the attention of the owner, Sam, and the staff, always attentive and helpful. Thanks for everything!
