Kata Bai D - SHA Certificate Hotel

The sweetest place we have stayed in Thailand! Sam and his staff are the most lovely, kind hearted people we've met and looked after us like family. Even looked after me when I was sick! The room had everything we needed and we stayed for 2 whole weeks and loved it the whole time! We even got lovely gifts from them for Christmas and New Years. Truly a home away from home, can't recommend enough!

A clean, cozy property close to the beach and food options. Sam was a great host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He helped us quite a bit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the open lobby area was a great place to sit.

The main reception area was open plan and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and they had a working safe. The location was great for getting to Kata beach on foot.

No lift/elevator, but that’s just cause I cannot pack light. The staff were very helpful with our bags.

An absolutely incredible place. The owner of the place, Sam, is a really great person. He helps with everything and is really friendly. Free food, coffee, tea and fruit are available in the lobby 24/7, as well as water that you can drink or take with you for free. I really strongly recommend and I myself plan to come again.

Breakfast is toast & fruit tea coffee available all the time. Bathroom tiny but had a window with a view to the park next door so really nice! Everything you need in the room including a drying rack!

Room a bit small for 2 people but comfortable for 2 nights!

The owner is really friendly and attentive. He was available on WhatsApp and sorted our transfer out for us to the airport, which was seamless. We also met some cleaning staff who were very happy and friendly and although we didn't want our room cleaned, they left us two complimentary bottles of water outside which I thought was a nice touch. There is complimentary fresh watermelon, toast making facilities and tea and coffee making facilities available at any time. This isn't a luxurious hotel and has more hostel vibes in the reception, but for the price you pay for Kata, it is ideal and does the job as a base for exploring Kata. The towels were super soft and there were beach towels available to use if needed. The hotel is only a short walk away from Kata beach and the town (less than 5 minutes) and there are restaurants, shops and massage places on your doorstep.

It is situated on a main road so you can hear traffic. We were in a back bedroom so it wasn't too much of an issue for us.
