Amadi Rest

This place was calm and quiet. It was an impressive one. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was great at this rest house. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Kataragama.

The room was good, beds ok, sheets and pillows provided. AC was OK.

Apart from the Room, everything else is bad. Even the toilet, (it's leaky, and opening the door gets stuck between the door and toilet seat) inside the room is bad. The eating area provided is mean, sometimes dogs come asking for scraps. The common kitchen is too small and crowded, and to access it, had to go across the keeper's bedroom. Not sure whether LP gas is available. The access road is also muddy and can get stuck in heavy rain.

Place was quite spacious and Nice environment. The caretaker of the premises is friendly guy and provide the needs for us. AC working properly.

Rooms specially the washrooms should be more clean. A family member of the caretaker was Ill and therefore he was bit busy with the family concern. So not a big deal. But if it stays same I prefer to clean the premises properly.

Very calm and quiet place. Facilities are value of the money, staff service given very friendly. Very clean and comfortable room. I highly recommend this place in Kataragama.

The housing is a bit far from the city centre, no restaurants closeby. Also there was a language barrier with the staff which made communicating a bit difficult at times.
