Kilmory Garden by the Loch

I really liked the location - right on the beach, opposite a small tesco, and only a 10 min drive to stone circles.

The bathroom is separate from the room and so I kept needing to go through the public hallway to get there - if I'd known it wasn't an en-suite beforehand, I wouldn't have booked. Breakfast finished early, at 9am, and I'm a late riser so it was difficult for me to make use of it. I did wake up early enough to order breakfast on the 2nd morning of my stay, but there were no staff around to take my order for a cooked breakfast, so I ended up just helping myself to cereal which I felt disappointed by. When I arrived on the first day, I was told by the staff to park in a certain area, so I did. Then the second day, soon after I woke up, the staff were telling me that I needed to move my car because it's in the way of the bulldozer they'd hired to do some work. If this was the case then why was I told to park there in the first place? I didn't appreciate that.

The hotel is a fine building which has been carefully renovated and decorated to a high standard. Greeted by the owner, who showed us to our room and chatted to us. Time arranged for breakfast, great choice and service. Very comfortable, pleasant and clean room with view of the garden. Really comfortable bed. Mini-bar with fresh milk for tea/coffee was a nice touch.

The only downside was the separate bathroom, although it was adjacent to our bedroom, for our private use and it was very well appointed. Understandable given the age of the property and the owners had thought of everything, even providing robes for guest use. A hook in the bathroom for bathrobes might be good addition.

A brilliant place to stay. Great location and parking. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Spacious room, with a beautiful view of the water. Wonderful fluffy towels and linen. Clean, with many luxurious touches. Delicious and generous breakfast. 10/10!

The breakfast was the best part of the stay. It was good and nicely served.

The room did not have an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was not shared but was in the corridor which meant that I had to leave my bedroom to use it. The room itself was in an attic space which meant sloping walls which I bumped my head into. As it was under the roof, the room was extremely hot with no way of cooling it down i.e. no air-conditioning. Most annoying of all is that the property is on the main road and the traffic is heavy and very loud which meant that I didn't sleep at all well. Bed and breakfast for one night cost £102 and this was very poor value for what I got.

The location was tremendous, close to the waters edge and over the road from a small Tesco. I'm a vegan so breakfast I expected to be limited. It wasn't, the chef let me pick and choose to build my own cooked vegan breakfast! It wasn't at all a stuffy place, very relaxing atmosphere. I'd like to return for a longer stay in the future.

Nothing could have been better quite honestly.
