Rose Cottage - A Heritage Retreat

It looks attractive from the outside and the room was spacious, if a little basic. I had a driver so the location was fine, however it is a 20 walk from the centre by Nakki Lake.

There is no restaurant and meals had to be ordered as room service. Sometimes it was difficult finding a member of staff. As Mount Abu is largely an Indian destination they did not speak much English. They only take cash, which was a surprise.

Was good - although the staff was not aware my breakfast was included so we tried to order simple breakfast and went out to eat. ON checkout , we were told it was included - wish they were aware of and we would not have paid outside

Lack of availability of staff at the front desk or around for ordering tea.coffee... needed to find them

The staff were very pleasant. The room was large with big windows looking into the garden. It was nice to be a bit out of town (around 15 mins walk). It was more expensive than other places we’ve stayed in India but that might just be how it is in Mt Abu?

Nothing. It’s very bad.

Everything. Very substandard rooms with no views. No room service. They kind of demand cash payment with card payment being unavailable. Multiple power cuts and this place don’t even have better power back up. Never recommend this place to anyone. Infact I am not sure if using booking.com is worth as well.

staff behaviour was excellent

Infrastructure and facilities may be improved and also taxi fare was bit more arranged by hotel management

The property is very beautiful with lots of plants with peaceful surroundings. Staff is good,prompt,helpful and efficient. Food is excellent. Rooms are spacious and so is the bathroom. Rooms and bathroom were cleaned daily. We were alloted room even though we were early for checkin.

Sheets and pillow covers though clean were in bad state, There was no hot water kettle with tea/coffee bags
