Incredible service and care. The breakfasts changed each day and were the perfect fusion of western and traditional Japanese. It was a great surprise each morning. My first onsen experience was less daunting in the private on site onsen. We will definitely stay again!

Great value - as I booked for two rooms (but single per room), it would have been the same price for one room for twin sharing in other lodge around the same area. Clean & well kept, the owners are extraordinary - they really go out of their way to take care of you. The Japanese breakfast set is excellent to start your ski day, while they provide things like onigiri at the reception for you to take in the afternoons. While we were seated at the dining area one afternoon, the owner was thoughtful & brought some chips & a free beer too ! The public bath was small, but then again this is Nozawa Onsen.. you are surrounded by many public onsen around the area, the Nakao one really close by. The tatami beds & pillows were really comfortable. As I had an injury on my final ski day, they went out of their way to send me to Iiyama station - truly thoughtful & exceptional service. Would recommend this place to anyone !

A 15-20mins walk to Nagasaki gondola or main village area, but then again this is Nozawa Onsen… the walk is scenic.

Shinazawa was absolutely perfect for our group. Easily walkable to/from the Shinden bus stop and awesome shuttle access to get to Nozawaonsen Ski Resort. The staff were AMAZING and so kind. Absolutely recommend the breakfast service! Would love to come back. Thank you again!!
