McHugh's Loft

This space was amazing, perfect for a couple. The owner has made the most out of the loft space and you have everything you need. Bed is very comfy! And the shower is a great size. The fridge and cutlery were an extra bonus if you need a quick cup of tea before you head off for the day!

Lovely comfortable and cosy loft , perfect for a short break away ,all the essential provided , also very clean and tidy , the owners very nice and helpful . Also very central short walk to all the cafes and pubs and only a few minutes walk to the beach, would highly recommend

A cosy, quiet, and private loft space with everything I needed for a short break. Perfectly heated, which was appreciated as it's February and cold at night. Within a 5 minute walk to the beach, the pubs and some nice places to eat. The WiFi was great, and the wee fridge was handy as I brought my own food to self cater for breakfast and lunches when out exploring and hillwalking. Nice touch to find coffee, milk, and drinking water provided.

This was perfect for me.. Nothing I didn't like.

Moira was a lovely host. Giving clear instructions of the check in and directions. Facilities were excellent, very clean and modern.

Entire place to yourselves, clean and well cared for; good communication prior to check-in, good shower, comfy bed. Tea/coffee facilities, Some additional plates and cutlery.

The space is a little small, fine for a night but I wouldn’t choose again for a stay more than 1/2 days max. The place is centrally located within Rathmullan with a beautiful shoreline. However Rathmullan is only a small town with limited amenities/eating-out options. The loft is really fairly priced but Rathmullan seemed to have only mid-higher priced options which were more than our budget. We arrived on a Wednesday and some places were shut that evening for dinner (even though info online suggested they were open), it’s a 25-30min drive to the bigger town. In low season in Sept or early/mid-week days it seemed to be harder to find places to eat and for us the location was too isolated for the amenities available in the loft - it has a fridge, kettle and a few extra plates bits of cutlery which were appreciated but has no cooking equipment so it’s not possible to self-cater. We sometimes nervous about things breaking - the toilet isn’t fixed down properly and moves; and the bed moves, it travels away from the headboard on the wall and won’t stay next to it (we couldn’t work out why). .
