Finnsstaðir Holiday Home with Hot tub

This may have been our favorite of the nine places we stayed while driving the ring road. The location is exquisite. It’s extremely private and surrounded by snow capped mountains and farmland. There are comfortable places to sit and relax indoors and out. We all loved feeding and interacting with the animals.

That we only booked two nights. We could have stayed much longer.

Animals, location, staff, space

The house was extremely charming and the owner very nice. Our teenagers loved interacting with all of the animals on the property. We loved using the hot tub at night and watching the setting sun change the color of the beautiful views!

Nice size, enjoyed the animals, great to have washer and dryer. Well stocked.

Never spoke to anyone. Sent questions via Booking never received any replies. The hot tub was cold and not on.

It's really nice to see farm animals early in the morning. The kitchen is also well equipped and the rooms are clean.

It will be better if the house is ready before check in time. Some bedsheets were in the dryer when we reached.

We were there for 1 night as a group of 6 people. Wonderful location! It's not in the middle of the town, so that was a big plus for us. Peace and quiet, cats, chickens and sheep around the house, and the best are horses right outside the window! Something fabulous! The house itself is very large, has several rooms, and is very useful. Large kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There was absolutely everything needed for the duration of the stay. We highly recommend staying there in a rural atmosphere, it's beautiful!
