I don't know how this place has such a high score on booking. It was the most horrible experience we had in our lives in an accommodation of any kind. When we arrived we were taken to a room that I think was supposed to be the reception. It was cluttered, dirty and it had an impossible smell. No air conditioning in there (I think it was more than 40 degrees). The check in process took forever, we had to wait until the host entered all the data in some portals, while typing with one finger, making and correcting typing errors (as an alternative, he could just have kept the ID copies and introduce all the data later himself but no, we had to wait there...). Afterwards he showed us to our room, where there was also a very heavy smell (hadn't been aired in forever). The hallways and the stairs also had a smell of sweat and old food combined. I almost threw up. Just horrible. After we aired the room and turned on the AC the air became decent. But I think it would have been nice for the host to open the windows a bit before we arrived, as the reservation was made in advance. The worst part of the stay was at night. Around 2 o'clock there were people loudly entering the building and coming upstairs, in the room next to us. We thought it was some tourists coming in late, but the next day we found out it was the owners themselves and they make these noises every night!!! Afterwards, for about 2 hours there were some loud metallic sounds coming from the walls, like in a horror movie (like people fighting with metallic pipes). I even made a video to record the sounds, too bad I can't upload that here. Around 4 a.m. the sounds changed and it was something like running water filling a bathtub. On and off. Then the sound of stones being moved around a metallic bathtub. I don't know exactly what they were doing there, but the noise went on forever.

The property was very clean, had ac and the owners were super helpful and friendly. They even had a microwave in a common area.

As it seems to be more often the case in Hungary, the host is very friendly and careful to meet your needs. I got the check-in form in Romanian and he took the time to show us everything available, including the shared kitchen for guests and the TV with international senders. The bed was very comfortable, the room furnished with massive wood furniture, the area very quiet and easier to find than the other reviews scared us, parking behind fence.

The internet was a bit slow in the evening, but next day it worked just fine.

Host is great, rooms were really warm. Parking inside of the courtyard. Everything is just great! 😁
