"Rather sparse room in rural guesthouse"

Spacious room, good car park, good food in restaurant.

The host was very unwelcoming, virtually hostile on our arrival, even though we had received confirmation of the time of arrival. Shown to our rather sparse room by another brusque, unwelcoming member of staff. As we brought our luggage in the host warned us that "cooking was not allowed in the room". We were shocked by this really rude and unnecessary accusation. Breakfast was underwhelming and more expensive than stated on Booking.com
