Silaa Cabana

Good budget friendly option. Contact with the manager via WhatsApp and call in good English, the super friendly caretaking lady spoke enough to understand each other. Everything is a bit makeshift and rustic, the road to the property is not asphalted but the cabana offers everything you’d need for a short stay. The beach and plenty of nice restaurant options are close by, the beach is also quite nice, apparently we had luck and the sea was calm enough for a swim. Recommended for a short stay on a budget!

Me and my friend loved our stay at Silaa Cabana. From the moment we walked on the property, we did not want to leave anymore. The Cabana's are super sweet and Neville (the owner) is very attentive. We would definitely recommend to stay there in Trinco!

Very nice little cabana. With airco, Nice bathroom and outside seating area. Nice little garden. The owner was not there but we good contact by what’s app. Every question was swiftly answered. Location is very central and also quiet.

The mattress was to soft. Other guests left the gate open. Close the gate behind you otherwise you will be bothered by stray dogs.

The concept is good. We were able to get a new experience.

We couldn't park the vehicle because of the entrance gate. Even though mentioning pets allowed, there are street dogs and ticks. Hence, we couldn't feel any safety for our puppy. Seems the owner doesn't have much attention for the property. If the owner invested their full attention and effort into the property, it could easily reach its highest potential.

Very cool place, the cabanas are very well equipped with aircon, kettle, fridge and hot showers. They have plenty of room and proper mattresses with quality sheets etc so very comfortable and outside each one is a seating area. They are located a few hundred metres from the beach in a very interesting area. Half the properties are similar holiday based and the others are residential giving it a true Sri Lankan vibe. The town was very quiet during of visit as it the off season (peak is April-Oct) so many hotels and restaurants are closed but there are sufficient open to enjoy.
