O Facho Guest House

Ein sehr schönes altes Haus mit ganz viel Charme. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft, dass Rauschen der Wellen beim einschlafen, genial. Es passt einfach alles sehr zueinander. Das Personal ist freundlich, das Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein, ist trotzdem ausreichend und es gibt täglich frisches Gebäck. Es sollte jedem klar sein das die Ausstattung zum Ambiente des Hauses passt, die Bilder waren alle Aussagekräftig, genau so haben wir es vorgefunden. Wer etwas Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

The location is just incredible. We had an ocean view room, and we literally saw and heard just the ocean and nothing else. The village is very secluded and peaceful, with an exceptional beach. This guest house has a very long and rich history, and you really feel it inside. The place is magical and mysterious. It seems time has stopped here. A true gem for the history and antique lovers. The breakfast room and the bar still have all the original decor. The main staircase is impressive. The room and the bathroom were very clean. Good breakfast.

The place is extremely worn out. The paint is literally falling off the walls and the furniture. The carpets in the corridors are moth-eaten and falling apart. The territory is not maintained. The corridors strongly smell of humidity and mold and seem pretty unhealthy to be in (the room was ok in that regard). We had a 10-year wedding anniversary during our stay. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony but didn’t get one. No congratulations on the day. When I asked to store our champagne in their bar fridge (there’s no fridge in the room), I was pointed out that they don’t typically do that, as they sell their own drinks (they did put that in their fridge, to be fair). The owners claim it’s a guest house, not a hotel. Yet, I can’t say I felt as a welcome guest there, to be honest.

El desayuno tiene poca variedad.

Localizado num lugar emblemático que faz parte da história da Foz do Arelho. A vista fascinante com as Berlengas e os Farilhões no horizonte. Desfrutar da calma e tranquilidade que a vista e escuta de Mar proporciona.

"Viajar no tempo" é fascinante, porém, um secador de cabelo no quarto e gel de banho/champô teria tornado a estadia um pouco mais agradável. Claro que o elevador elétrico a funcionar teria sido ainda melhor.

The hotel has character. It is not the "seen one, seen all" experience, we are familiar with. The venues and the rooms display wonderful wooden floor and furniture. The seaview is something awesome. The staff is kind and responsive to the needs of the customers.
