Mapache Hostel

Arrival at the reception was easy, the staff was very warm and friendly. I got the tipi room (inside those small wooden houses). It had 2 ventilators, which was needed because it is quite warm and with heavy air otherwise ;) Common showers were good and I didn't have to wait. The tables outside were covered to be under shadow and they were equipped with plugs, so you can have your phone or computer charging while enjoying sitting outside. In general it's a great place if you are not a person who has many requirements for comfort (which if you are, I would not expect you to look at this place and think of booking it). You need to have the traveller spirit to enjoy it, I think ;) Location: GREAT ! On the opposite side of the street is a bar which seemed to know how to party and enjoy a night on an alive island ;)

The breakfast is included, which is nice to have, but if you are a sweet breakfast type of person, you just get toast-bread, butter and marmelade. The rest of the breakfast is a prepared bowl of tacos with tomato sauce and some cream cheese. Tea, Coffee and milk provided (I had to ask for a vegan milk, which they could offer me, but it was not present on the table). ATTENTION: Mosquitos are severe on Holbox island, be ready to use a lot of mosquitos spray there !

L'ambiance de l'endroit, nous nous sentions comme à la maison. Les lieux communs étaient très agréable pour se détendre et la proximité de la plage à quelques pas seulement. Le personnel est très accueillant et nous donne de bon renseignement. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter!

Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig, wodurch man alle Stimmen und vorbeifahrende Taxis hört.

Die Familie ist super freundlich und der Vibe sehr entspannt. Es gibt viele Angebote und Möglichkeiten rund um Holbox. Frühstück einfach aber gut. Der Strand und das Volleyballfeld sind gerade um die Ecke. Es hat mir alles sehr gefallen.
