A charming little two story house in the midst of a village. a good opportunity to experience village life in Bali.

The food was amazing and the owners were very kind. They explained us so many things about his culture and the history of Bali. Top experience.

My first visit to Bali, and it will not be the last, and we found a hidden Gem to stay. We stayed exactly one month in Talagamas. It is an exceptional place to stay, if you want to keep away from tourist hotspots this is the place. The guest house is situated in the area of Banjarangkan. If any Traveler needs to experience Balinese traditional way of living, then look no further, this is the place to be. Talagamas hosted by the most amazing couple. Coki and her husband, Udit. We were integrated straight away to the family. We had the opportunity to meet the other family members, and we were welcome by all family members, and taken to Hindu ceremonies and well as evening out including to Karoke. Coki and Udit made the effort to take us around and show their amazing, beautiful country. We were advised by Udit about history of Bali, and he recommends us to visit Klungkung. Wow, it was worth visiting Klungkung and learn about the Dutch invasion to Bali, and where Bali history begins. We visited expensive restaurants and also had the opportunity to visit Warungs. However, no restaurant offered Balinese cuisine like Coki does. We can only describe Coki as a cooking genius. We were given the opportunity to taste masterclass cooking by Coki. From smoked or steamed rice (Nasi Bakar), different variations of sates, Coki specialty Tum Ayam or Tum Babi, only to mention few. Not forgetting Coki’s variations of Sambal, they are delicious. Where cooking is concerned, Coki got the magic touch, the spices are very well-balanced. I was very lucky to receive a jar of tasty Sambal as a leaving gift which I enjoyed after returning to UK. We recommend Talagamas Guest House anybody who likes to enjoy the traditional Bali way of life and anybody searching for a peaceful holiday with original Bali cuisine. Thank you Coki & Udit. wow! highly recommend this place to solo travellers or people wanting to escape the tourists and experience the authentic Balinese culture. the village is very traditional and beautiful. there’s a small river close by which is the perfect setting for walks. there’s plenty of temples and waterfalls close by too along with rafting (highly recommend). Coki, her husband, her brothers and family are so welcoming. I originally booked only 2 nights as I wasn’t sure and within 2 hours of being there I extended another 2 nights. I ended up staying here for 1 week and then I moved to accommodation down the rd as I wanted to stay longer but Telagamas was booked out. I was invited to family ceremony’s and bdays, karaoke and dinner, they took me to waterfalls, local markets and a nearby traditional village. I seriously had the most amazing time!!
