Blue Moon Guest House

Location was fantastic, tucked down a quiet street, 100 yards from the beach, and a short stroll to the centre of town. Lovely shaded communal balcony/eating area with view of the sea. Good sized room with very nice bed & furnishings. Beautifully decorated building, in bright, vibrant colours.

Not even a single thing... We had to cancel the reservation.

1)We had reserved the place after reading the reviews but after reaching the place we realized that why all positive reviews should not be trusted..the rooms were okayish but the washrooms stinked like sewage pipes on the road and they are maintained in the most disgusting manner possible.. When we told the owner that we donot want to take the rooms and we are cancelling the reservation, (the whole property with some five rooms were unbooked on that day ), all he cared was how his business will be at a loss if we cancel at the last moment....If he runs a business , he should do better at managing it than putting the blame on the customer... he had assured us the parking will be safe ( no parking space as such, you can park the car in front of the property, on a narrow lane). ...We could see children banging on the car within moments of parking... I cannot end the review before calling out the caretaker (or the manager) with the most unwelcoming attitude and manners I have ever seen....He was actually mocking us and saying if we need better washrooms we should be booking Radisson Blu which is like few kms away; and guess what we actually did that...!! Look at his audacity!! Imagine going through all these when you are traveling with your parents.... I would not recommend this property to anyone and plus, always reserve and pay at the property after seeing it ...All positive reviews should be taken with a benefit of doubt and do not trust the pictures posted...

Close to beach and provides good breakfast. However, no facility for tea/ coffee once the kitchen lady leaves. This is compensated with multiple restaurants in close proximity.

A non AC room was being passed as AC room with technical fault by providing nominal discount. The facility could have informed us before hand if required rooms was not available. We found out absence of outdoor unit of AC by chance. And when we brought it out to the caretaker he wanted to take only non AC room rent. We finally agreed to pay for only one room instead of booked two.

This hotel is in a good location close to the beach. I really enjoyed the balcony off my room which certainly contributed to a relaxing stay

My air conditioner didn’t work but I was given a discount on the tariff which was fair
