a bit far from city center. (on the edge of the city)

The owner is excellent. All the facilities are not like hotel standard and I felt like staying uncle’s house. Visiting Okinawa Ojii! His character is priceless. If you’re looking for super clean great facilities, you better stay the other places.

The first impact of the place was surprising.

The cheapest option we found during golden week. The house is clean, the bathroom too. The owner seemed apologetic about us being locked out and gave us a present each before we left.

Be aware that this is not a usual guesthouse. First of all the owner doesn't speak English so unless you master japanese it will be hard to communicate. He also sets a variety of rules, especially concerning noise reduction, yet it seems that some of these rules don't apply to him, since every morning around 8AM we were woken by the sounds of baseball matches from the TV in the common room, people chatting and doors banging. The owner is also always there, no matter the time of the day, yet we still got locked out on our last night. Luckily some guest came to open after we spent a lot of time banging on the front door. The tatamis were fine but the beds were hard.

Owner's personality is just outstanding!!! I live in Japan for many years, but it is the first time when I meet owner like him. He is so gentle, friendly, sincere and warm person. He is doing everything for customers' comfort. I have no words to describe how I am impressed by him. I wish this hostel all the best, and would love to come again. Thank you for everything, Motomura san!

The place is 10 mins walk from the Painagama beach with several marvelous nature spots!

The host is very kind, he recommended places to eat popular among locals, and showed some wonderful tourist landmarks.
