The house is close to Hortobágy center (easy to reach on foot), but quite peaceful and silent - this is no party destination. It is very dark outside - great if you want to watch the night sky. The room was nice, modern and clean, with a full-size fridge in the room itself. Warm water was fast available. The window has a fly screen which is a great plus because of all the mosquitos and flies in the region. There is a kitchen with kettle, microwave oven, toaster and 2 hot plates downstairs, all working well.

The WLAN was unstable in the first room. It only works well at the end of the floor. We were the only guests, therefore the shared kitchen and the only one table with 4 chairs (on the floor) for 4 rooms was no problem for us, but it could be at busier times. The lighting on the floor is controlled by a movement sensor and can drive you crazy because you regularly have to jump up and wave during dinner in order to see the food. The water tastes strange, but we tried elsewhere in Hortobágy and it was the same, thus it is probably the local water supply. Better bring your own. The address is misleading. Take the first small street after the big parking lot and the bird hospital. I don't blame the host - they just have a funny way of numbering there.

Excellent location, close to everything : csarda (restaurant), info centre, bird park, market etc. The owner very helpful giving information, nice and spacious room.

Mirrors, mirrors!

Great place to stay in Hortobagy :) The owner of the apartment is working in the bird hospital, which is located wall to wall with the apartment building. He gave us free tickets to the the hospital and of course explain where to go and what to do in Hortobagy village and the national park.

Maybe the kitchen could be more equipped and renowated a bit ;)

The location was excellent for visiting the national park. The contact person was incredibly helpful. Huge room, big bed, AC was great.

It was close to the center. We received free tickets for Bird Hospital. It was very good for us. It is not o luxury accommodation, but it was comfortable.

We went there for watching the stars during the night. Near the hotel is an area with less light pollution, ideal for admiring the sky. The place was clean and welcoming. We used also the "living room"/hallway area, where we had the space for quality time with our friends and play some games.

The room was comfortable, aircon worked well. Very quiet setting. Owner was accommodating.

Kitchen could have been a bit cleaner but was fine

The host was so helpful, picked me up at the train, very kind. The property is right next-door to the bird hospital, which is wonderful
