Azores Bagus Surf House

This hostel felt like a really personal experience, it felt like more of a family home! The kitchen facilities were great, and the room was comfortable enough. It was fairly quiet in the evenings as it was more of an early-riser hostel, but that suited me and my friend pretty well. Definitely recommend if you like to surf or are interested in learning, they work with a surf school in Ribeira Grande who were amazing when I took a lesson!

Although everyone was friendly, there was a strangely anti social vibe to this hostel. If you're quite introverted and struggle to introduce yourself to people, this probably isn't the place for you. It's about an hours walk out of town, so unless you drive it's a bit tricky to get about.

Nice Surfer location with good vibes. The staff was amazing. The kitchen is well equipped. Around 3km outside of the center, around 5min car drive from one the best surfing spots.

Great environment, friendly people all around, cooking nights have super cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, cosy rooms and great views from the rooms/terrace - hosts (names omitted here) were helpful with everything from arrival to taxi transfers to biking in the island

Shared showers mean long queues in the mornings, nighttime and after beach :) Location is a bit far from PDL town center, good to arrange a car or at least an e-bike as taxis can be pricier than other islands in Azores

Super cool, cozy, clean and comfy hostel ran by a bunch of friendly Italian surfers. Great value for money, the place is very spacious and well maintained, plenty of parking for your rental car and NOT in the busy area of Ponta Delgada. Would surely book again!
