The rooms were big and comfortable. It’s a quite location which is very peaceful.

The location is near the hot springs but nothing else. The waterfalls and bridge were hours away. The staff said there was food available then told us Saturday night they ran out of food. They didn’t offer any kayaking. There is a lot of construction happening. There were limited staff who understood English. It will be lovely once the construction is done.

This place is so special - it simply eases your stress as soon as you arrive. The accomodation is simple, spacious, clean and in nature. The tea house that serves breakfast is situated by a river and has such a peaceful atmosphere that it is hard to peel away from it after breakfast. The owner and the staff are genuinely caring anf responsive. This place left an indelible mark in our vacation memories. Please go there and be touched by the serene atmosphere.

Golden Sword with a Boat is as quirky and unique as its name is unusual. The spacious, spotless room was on the top floor of a large two-floor building in a nicely kept garden setting. In the same compound there is a temple-like structure and apparently the owner is a monk who practiced in Taiwan for a long time. The staff is welcoming and helpful. A unique perk is the charming floating tea room restaurant located down some steps and a path on the river, serving delicious teas and Taiwanese meals. The staff even let us have our breakfast there the next morning. My son and I liked the huge metal dragon sculpture at the front gate!
