Vanny's Peaceful Guesthouse

The guesthouse owner couple are incredibly warm and welcoming, making it easy for you to get the information you need about neighbourhood and Phnom Penh.

The shower's water pressure is quite low, and at times, there is no water flow at all. Also the bed lacks comfort.

Everything was fine expect the internet. Network connection is a bit slow but the owner is trying everything he can to fix it. They are very kind and helpful.

Vanny and his wife are so friendly and lovely people. They recommended us lots of things to do in Phnom Penh as well as good places to eat. The room is tidy and has a fridge as well as a fan. There is a little kitchen with a kettle and nearby is a nice sitting area. Vanny has a little shop where you can buy food and drinks and he offers free cold and hot water. We have rarely met such friendly hostel owners.

Comfortable room, cozy and peaceful. Good air conditioning, comfy bed. Only a couple minutes walk from the market and several nice restaurants (we’d recommend Sacred Lotus). Good laundry place just round the corner. We got stuck in Phnom Penh waiting for our visas to come through before going to Vietnam, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful in letting us extend our stay as needed. Great value, would recommend.

The location was great, and the hostel was very clean and presentable, the flowers outside were beautiful and all in all the hostel was well kept. The room was great, clean and tidy and what we expected, the aircon worked well and the room was quiet. The staff were trying to do all that they could to make sure that you had a good stay.

You can opt in for the family meal at 7pm and pay a small price (70, 000 per person) the meal did not really have a lot of options and the food was not anything great but filled a hole. The owner was a nice guy, it was clear that he wanted his guests to have a good time and to have fun, however, he was a little loud and insisted on playing beer pong, which wasn't really my thing - but could be great for others.

Such a loving and happy guesthouse. Truly peaceful. Slept soundly. So quiet. You might hear Vanny gently practising the guitar. There are no windows from outside but there are windows onto the corridor. (But this just helped us sleep off the nightlife). Vanny and his family are welcoming and lovely. Very happy with our choice. He sent loads of information about the local area when we booked. Great location in a quiet area surrounded by restaurants and shops a short walk to the Russian market.

The staircase and toilet areas are small, but this is just the physical build of the house. A bit tight, but perfectly functional. Maybe not suitable for those less able.
