Liked the atmosphere of the room and the small hotel overall. Super friendly owner and nice staff, and the breakfast was very good.

It is a quirky property with new age vibes. Our room wasn’t very big but well equipped and perfect for a one night stay. We had to leave early in the morning but they were super nice and provided us with breakfast to go. They were also useful in giving us indications for dinner, walking distance. Unfortunately it was raining during our stay so we couldn’t really appreciate the location. It’s a bit out of town so very quiet.

It’s up in mountains so it was quite cold. The room is equipped with a fireplace but they give just a little wood, not enough to warm up the space. However, we had a warm and thick duvet so it wasn’t too uncomfortable

The staff was super kind and helpful, the room was very nice and cosy and the homemade breakfast was very good.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were catered to our requests and also very tasty. The doona/duvet was very warm which we loved as it was chilly at night.

The hot water pressure was very low.

Gorgeous unique little hotel that had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Our room had a small lounge attached with a log burner which was great in the evening when the temperature dropped. It was possible to walk down to the lake area and then to the town and easy to get a tuk tuk back. There was a great restaurant just a few minutes walk from the hotel Taste of India, lovely food and great value. Heidi and staff could not have done more to make our stay perfect. We had a picnic breakfast for our trip to Horton Plains and on the last morning we had an early start but Heidi arranged for us to have breakfast a little early. A generous delicious breakfast. We would have loved to stay longer but will hopefully return. Our stay was part of a two week trip to very different parts of Sri Lanka. We would definitely not have wanted to miss Nurwara Eliya, or Serendipity! A gem

OMG. What a beautiful quirky peaceful place. We loved every minute of our stay. Heidi and her niece were two of the most beautiful people we have met here in Sri Lanka and the breakfast they provided was divine. We will be back for sure. 🥰

What an amazing place! There is a special feel to Heidi's Home and we felt relaxed and comfortable the moment we stepped inside. The rooms are beautiful with Heidi's painted creations and twinkling lights welcome you in from the entrance. Heidi gave us lots of good advice of things to see and guidance to taxi and tuk tuck costs which we appreciated. Heidi even packed us a breakfast box each as we had an early train to catch the next morning.

It is located a little way out of town so you will need a tuk tuk or taxi.

Serendipity Heidi's Home is totally unique, I have never seen an artistic interior quite like it. Heidi has painted all the walls with colorful flowers and butterflies, peacock feathers and dream catchers, it's really beautiful. The kingsize bed might have been one of the most comfortable beds on the planet. The suite we had felt like a cozy home. Only one or two things weren't perfect. The wood burner chimney had a crack in it so when we lit the stove the smoke got into the room. And the shower has an electric heater with little volume and pressure. Otherwise a real gem and a must see.
