Quinta das Leiras - Rubiães

Helmut’s place was a wonderful surprise during our Camino de Santiago journey! The house is large, with a beautiful and well-kept garden, and we even got to enjoy the pool – perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking. The room had very comfortable beds and a spacious shower. Helmut and his family were very kind and welcoming. There are no restaurants nearby, but there was a shuttle for dinner which we really enjoyed with the other guests.

Not exactly something direct - but for breakfast, there is a cafe 800m on the Camino route, but because it was Sunday/holiday it was closed. Luckily we had some food and could use the kitchen (which was very well equipped but a bit dusty..)

Helmut and Heidi were welcoming hosts. The place was right on the Camino, was spacious and comfortable with amazing views.

De quinta ligt pal aan de Camino, en er is een zwembad wat heel prettig is! De taxi-service naar het restaurant is helemaal prima natuurlijk!

Dit is meer een hostel dan een hotel. Ik vond de kamer gehorig en ik vond de prijs gewoon wel hoog in dit geval. Ook omdat er andere reizigers waren die per telefoon gereserveerd hadden en veel veel minder betaald hadden.

Location. Owner very friendly and helpful. He had beer, wine, water, coffee etc. available for purchase. Nice, hot shower. Owner provided transportation to local restaurant for dinner which outweighed hard bed😊.
