Ashi Guesthouse Chiangdao

Great mountain views and vibes. Very peaceful, breakfast was a treat ! Good place to do a quick stop over on the way to chiangmai if driving the northern loop. Bring something to wear during evenings/early mornings as it can get quite chilly duing January visits.

The spacious wooden deck was a beautiful feature, however non of the lounger cushions were laid out like in the listing photos. Great views.

The wall divider in our deluxe room was super thin, which meant we could hear every pin drop from our neighbours room, breathing, chatting, farting and them using the toilet. Which was not great for privacy. Just something to consider. This also meant that when they checked out and the room was being cleaned super early in the morning, there was a lot of noise before 08:00 in the morning.

ผนังเป็นเหมือนไม้ไผ่ ห้องไม่เก็บเสียงใดๆเลย เนื่องจากเป็น Guest house มีหลายครอบครัวพัก และ ห้องติดกัน ผนังบาง พื้นบาง ได้ยินทุกคนคุยกันทุกอย่างได้ยินเสียงคนเดินตลอด อาจจะไม่สะดวกกันคนที่นอนหลับยาก ราคาค่อนข้างแรงถ้าเทียบกับเกสเฮ้าที่อื่น 1506฿ มาพักช่วง1-2Jan และเป็นช่วงเทศกาล และอุปกรณ์หมูกระทะ หม้อ เตา สกปรกมาก มันมาก เหมือนล้างไม่สะอาด พนงยกมาให้ พร้อมคราบากปรกเต็มเตา จึงต้องหาซันไลมาล้างเองอีกหลายรอบ รู้สึกช็อค ว่ากล้าเอามาให้ลูกค้าได้ไง เข้าใจว่าเป็นเกสเฮ้า ผู้พักคนอื่นอาจจะทำความสะอาดไม่หมด แต่ก่อนมาให้ลูกค้าคนใหม่ ก็ต้องล้างอีกก่อนไหม... ไม่เป็นไร เข้าใจค่ะว่าช่วงเทศกาล รีวิวตามความจริงเฉยๆ ถ้ามีโอกาส จะไปอีก แต่ไม่ขอนอนแล้ว ไปคาเฟ่ ได้อยู่

We absolutely loved the owners and the amazing location and food! I didn’t realise the property would have such an amazing restaurant and vibe. We only stayed 2 nights but could have stayed forever. The breakfast was so delicious both mornings (amazing guacamole and eggs on toast, mushroom and chicken, amazing coffees etc…). When we could prize ourselves away from the incredible restaurant (he even brews his own beer and various alcohols) we spent time visiting the caves, local hot springs and walking up the 500 steps to the temple- we all felt very relaxed and enlightened at the end of our stay (and we have two children aged 14 and 7 so this is quite rare). Thanks for an amazing stay 😊

Un lieu magnifique, hors du temps et très reposant. Un havre de paix. L'accueil est chaleureux et familial. Tout le monde est au petit des clients. Nous avons était soigné comme des rois!
