Hazelwood House

Spacious room with everything you need, lovely garden to have breakfast or rest in. Hosts were absolutely wonderful. Great location, close to the center of Stellenbosh, but in a cosy quiet street.

The only negative point is the carpet in the room. I do not think it’s hygienic or very cosy, and it smelled musty. After reporting this to the owners, they immediately deep cleaned it the next day, and it felt better but in the morning the musty smell was back. Besides that, the room was very clean.

Johan, the host, went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Very kind and friendly gentleman, thank you Johan and all the best with all your future endeavors.

Breakfast not applicable - self catering. Location very convenient.

Living in South Africa means having to deal with load shedding, and being South African, I expected that better provision would be made to cope with said load shedding. Disappointingly there was none to speak of.

Loved our stay! The room was nice and tidy, with lots of cupboard space. Comfortable bed and a beautiful view from the room. Loved the fact that there was shower gel and shampoo available.

Would have liked to have 1 bottled water or even ice in the fridge.
