Perfect located on the island, very nice host, clean and big room, nice pool

The bed was really nice and the location close to the harbour is a plus

The staff was not around much and had a hard time understanding us. There was zero vibe going on and everything felt a bit dirty (especially shared areas). you could not get any drinks etc at the “bar”. Maybe the reason is Ramadan?

Location, staff, comfortable bed, clean.

Hot water shower and water pressure, need to overhaul the toilet as well. The prices at booking.com goes up towards and during weekend.

The rooms and beds are quite big and you have a big wardrobe. The A/C works just fine. You have very few options to choose for the breakfast, just toast and fruit salad, but at least they are ok. The swimming pool is nice and the open garden is full of plants. Alvin was nice and helpful during our stay. The location is great, just one block away from the main beach street. So far, so good…

I don’t usually give negative reviews because I like to support local business but I think in this particular case there are some issues that should be addressed at Aaliku, mostly in terms of maintenance and value-for-money. So far, so good… our first night was really disappointing, to the extent that we almost left and book another hotel nearby. For the same amount of money we could have booked at least three other accomodations around the block with better conditions… and for a few extra bucks you could even find some amazing resort on the island. - There was no hot water, so we couldn’t take a warm shower. When we told the guy at the reception, he claimed that is normal because of the rainy season (?). Our friends live here and said that’s not true. Moreover, the water pressure was weak. Furthermore, one of the hotels we checked around the block has a very nice and hot shower — I tested myself. - There was no toilet paper in the toilet when we arrived. We realized late at night, so we went to the reception but the receptionist was sleeping on a mattress on the ground in a room behind it, we would have felt uncomfortable if we had wake him up. So we’ve got to sneak into another part of the hotel with our phone’s lights until we found some napkins to use… not very comfy. - The Wi-Fi was not working. - Several maintenance and cleaning issues such as toilet door not closing properly, lavatory moving when you seat, no shampoo nor soap, no hand towels, etc. Naturally, we were frustrated so the next day we asked for a change of room. The other room was way better. However, water was slightly warmer but still was not hot and still has no decent water pressure. I even had to puke holes in the shower myself with a needle because they were blocked and nobody did anything about it. We made some noise because at that point we were about to leave. We asked around for the manager but he was not on the island.

nice, big rooms, very very friendly staff

located next to a noisy road (horses and groups of partying people, which you could hear during the night), also the shower wasn’t too good.
