Broome Farm

Everything about the place. Hilary was simply the best host and nothing was too much bother. A fantastic large room, Cider Room, a gorgeous big bed and several nights fantastic sleep. A large cake awaited our arrival and it was a piece of pure joy and delicious. The place was spotless and it was a joy to see the working of the cider press, thanks Martin. The outstanding feature was breakfast, fulfilling for the whole day, local produce cooked to perfection and fantastic quality. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal, porridge and coulis, toast, hot cross buns were all a pre-cursor to the main event - The cooked breakfast! !Wow Hilary it's a breakfast and a half. Gorgeous and so was the food! A fantastic night's sleep, an outstanding breakfast and some fantastic people!, there is nothing not to like, nothing!

Easy to find with plenty of parking. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was superb, full English and a good selection of cereals, fruit and toast.

We are mature cyclists. We have stayed in 40+ different hospitality places in the last couple of years and this was one of the best and most memorable. Everything from reception until departure was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Breakfasts were brilliant and the atmosphere and food both here and in the adjacent pub was warm, friendly and good value. We don’t often go back to recycle experiences…but for this we will probably make an exception! Thanks Hilary.

Nothing…maybe a few less potholes in the neighbourhood!

As mentioned on previous reviews the breakfast is outstanding - from the oatmeal and plum compote to the scrambled egg and smoked salmon (my favourite) to the "full english". The location is also outstanding being situated in acres of apple and pear orchards on the farm where they make the Birdbarker cider sold nearby at the pub - also run by the farm. It is a family run business and Hilary is a wonderful host. A mini fridge in the room and free parking are added benefits as are the personal touches which make any stay a great experience - eg fresh flowers, an exceptional homemade cider cake, and 2 bottles of cider in the room.

Weather could have been better!

Beautiful environment . Very clean. Very quiet. Lovely accommodation with fabulous views. The accommodation has every amenity and detail to make your stay comfortable. Amazing breakfast. Kind and thoughtful host who is also a fabulous cook.

Suite was spacious with big bed and large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Nice touches with complementary cider and cider cake. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and fresh yoghourt and fruits. Hilary was a very welcoming host and nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely walk through orchards. Very relaxing place.

For a short stay, it was easy to settle in and enjoy the farm and local area.
