Anna's Farm Stay

What a lovely house in a lovely setting, with Anna being the perfect, enthusiastic, hostess. We had the most amazing coffee and cake, followed by a delicious dinner and breakfast the following morning. Definitely recommend this charming old-world place for a stop over.

The bed was a bit small for 2 large and tall people, but in style with the house, so more of a personal issue.

Rough road to get there. Bathroom was not en suite, but was easily accessible.

Anna’s place was exceptional with a warm and friendly host. We arrived and greeted with a hearty evening meal. Beautiful setting and although the farmhouse is out of the way, Anna’s directions were spot on. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. During load shedding Anna was very courteous and provided candles and lanterns.

Our son is studying in Cape Town. We are currently visiting and had a two night stay at Anna's Farm along the Garden Route. We felt very comfortable and Anna's food was very good. There was so much to eat that we couldn't finish it all. Anna is a very courteous and lovely hostess. We liked the silence of the farm - sometimes only crickets, frogs and Albertus could be heard. What a peaceful oasis. Anna and Arno are lovely hosts who do everything to make you feel at home. They also gave me great tips for my next day's trip. The place is quiet, you just hear the birds singing, so your mind can really calm down instantly. I loved having my meals on the veranda with a view. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, all fresh and high quality ingredients, plus a lot of it homemade by Anna (her homebaked bread is fabulous, and the chutney and jams, too!). I even got to taste some South African specialties. Anna catered perfectly to my vegetarian needs. The mattress was on the harder side, which was good for my back. The place is incredible - so many antiques, and almost all of them are far from randomly bought - instead, they belong to Anna's family, so it is "the real deal" and gives the place its soul. If you like it minimalist and modern - this is not your place. But if you like something unique and vintage with wonderful hosts, this will be to your liking. Also Anna had put some lovely plant decoration everywhere, with so much attention to detail. The doggos were super cuddly and friendly, too. Thank you Anna and Arno, I will gladly return when back in this area!
