8a Spring Gardens

Building spacious, nice interior, good selection for breakfast.

There was not free on street parking as mentioned. Every night we had to look for 30 min to find parking. Eventually had to go to paid car park a while away and one night even this was full. Our initial room by the street was very loud even at night, and we wanted to leave, but host unwilling to refund last 2 nights. The wooden floors were also very creaky so you could hear other guests and the neighbour playing drums (?). The host offered us to switch rooms, which turned out to be the one we originally booked. They claimed that we had been ‘upgraded’ but the room, despite being bigger with a balcony, was unwanted by another guest who switched with ours, also because of noise.

The room is spacious and luxurious , with a gorgeous balcony . Comfy beds. The kitchen has everything you need and a courtyard you can sit in too and lovely garden. Breakfast is even provided

Fine atmosphere, good place to start to the coast path by bus or Train. Special Interieur, old and tasteful furnitures. Warm and friendly.

The town itself seems to be a little bit descended but is suited as a starting point for different hikes along the coastline.

The location was very good point for me as travelling for work, good range of cereals, tea coffee and milk local shops near by to get other items. The house inside has been refurbished to a very high standard and in keeping with the age of the property I had a beautiful room and liked the seabird theme for naming the rooms. The communal accommodation was spacious and comfy. A good sized kitchen dining area with good working facilities, again in keeping with it being a Georgian house.

I was a little disconcerted on arrival as the shrubbery at the front of the house is in need of some work and gave me a little pause as to if I had come to the right property. Also the tiling is a little uneven in the entrance.

Location, facilities communication were all great. Breakfast was good. Excellent value for money.

Good to just have a basic help yourself breakfast, use of a fridge and cooker in this annexe. So it definitely saves money on food during a stay. Also the lounge which wasn't used much by others whilst I was there. Good bedroom and bathroom. Well organised by owners even if I didn't meet them whilst I was there.

WiFi was intermittent on the top floor for phone but OK for laptop. It was better downstairs. Other minor point: plug needs replacing in top bathroom's sink. It doesn't hold water as I found out with a wet shave.
