Radiya Guesthouse

Very friendly. Flask of hot water and drinks as it was raining hard and we arrived soaking wet on motorbikes.

Confusion on payment. Nothing to do with the host.

The hosts were amazing, very friendly and kind offering lots of free tea and coffee. Breakfast was good too. The rooms are simple, comfortable and as described. The location is great, with a motorbike rental shop and a great restaurant a short walk away.

The staff was very nice and friendly. They adapted to our schedule and gave us an early breakfast so we could hike Pergasingan Hill at sunrise. They also gave complimentary coffee, tea, and water, which we appreciated a lot.

The room was not isolated, so we could hear everything from the outside, like the noisy road and the very loud mosque starting to sound the prayer at 04:30 in the morning. Over night, it also got cold, and we just had a blanket to cover us (no bed sheet). The bathroom was downstairs and had a squatting toilet, which was not clear from the pictures when we booked the room.

The host was really great, he organised a motorbike for us to hire and also for an airport transfer. Also, when we went on an early morning hike, he made us banana pancakes when we returned even though it wasn’t breakfast time anymore!

Facilities are quite basic

Dobrá strategická poloha k vycházkám do okolí na kopec Bukit Selang, na políčka, kde se pěstuje zelenina. Stojí za to vejít do uliček, uvidíte reálný život. Naproti je hospoda, asi půl kilometru větší obchod s další hospodou a bankomat. Navštívili jsme jahodovou plantáž ( možnost natrhat si a sníst kolik chcete za 20 000). Samotný apartmán kde jsme bydleli, je domeček na kuřích nohách na zahradě domu, kde bydlí pan majitel. V dolní části je posezení, nahoře pokoj (schody nahoru) a odtud koupelna bez umyvadla s teplou vodou (po schodech dolů ). Měli jsme pokoj De luxe, kde je evropský zàchod. Pan majitel velmi nápomocný s radami i zařízením cesty na jih. Žádná veřejná doprava zde nejezdí.Upozornil nás na turnaj v metání káči( gasing).Snídaně klasická- banana pancakes nebo nasi goreng. celou dobu k dispozici horká voda, čaj, káva, pitná voda -super.

poloha na hlavní silnici, hodně hluku z motorek(ale v noci ne). za domkem je opravdu mešita, když jsem si to ověřovala na mapách nebyla tam, protože se teprve staví. ale už funguje 😊. Ale to patří k této zemi.
