Was amazing couldn’t fault nothing about this property

Very welcoming and friendly service, check-in was very easy. Great big room. Good en-suite. I loved the bottle of chilled water every day. Close to shops. 15 minutes slow walk to lake.

A wider range of teas would have been nice. A shelf in bathroom for a toilettariers bag. My room was at top of stairs.

Really enjoyed my stay at Abacus House. I was provided with a very large room with fabulous appliances. The room was cozy, and very clean. Same goes with the bathroom. Location was also fantastic, 10 min walk from the train station, and about a 25 min walk to the lake/town centre. Would stay here again if I come back!

Would have been nice to get a check in message day prior/morning of the booking, as I was unaware if there would be a reception/how to check in and had to reach out myself. Carmel is a very sweet person, but that just gave me a little extra anxiety that couldv'e been avoided.

Drove 6 hours from London to there with a 6-month baby. There was only a small text in house rules at the bottom of the profile saying children are not allowed which it was not shown again in the house rules to be checked and confirmed before submitting the booking. According to law, the owner failed to display such important information clearly to consumers. The owner then refused to neither refund nor allow us to stay even we promised not to bring the baby into the house to be compliant with the said rules. We just need bathroom, shower and electricity. The owner reacts rude while we are trying to communicate nicely. She even grabs the key from client's hand and gets into my room without permission and shout at my wife in front of baby which is a serious offence that is not tolerable at all. We believe several laws were being offended during this stay causing significant loss and distress to my family. Currently appealing the case to the court for compensation.
