Gästehaus Vis-A-Vis

It is nicely located close to the center, but not too close to be noisy.

It is strange to find nowadays hotels without WiFi, seems this should be included. The room is nothing special but the bathroom in particular is dated like from grandparents time. But everything was clean. Payment seems only in cash or local cards. Not really modern. Breakfast is not impressive either for the price. So, no recommendation and definitely no value for the price they charge. Sorry!

Clean comfortable room

The Wi-Fi was nonexistent in our room. It seemed like an afterthought the only way to get connection was to stand in the street with my laptop.

Breakfast was great. Proximity/access to river, piers, restaurants and shops by foot was great.

Room was very plain. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot, no fan, nor AC.

Very nice and helpfull staff.

We were placed in an another hotel (right next to it) than our booking (the same owner). We understood the reason for it, but it would have been nice if we knew that in advance. We were also not warned about the roadworks in front of the hotel, so we needed to call the hotel to ask how we can get there and where to park the car. The stuff was very helpful though.

Breakfast was good, served next door at the hotel where you also check-in during the limited time slot the desk is open.

Difficult to find, partly due to poor signage partly due to construction, must park a bit away and walk over. Price was different that listed on Booking.com plus on the Booking site it said it included breakfast and had parking, it did not say the breakfast was an additional fee, parking was an additional fee. We had 4 people so cost substantially more than we thought it would. Probably would have made a different selection that was more upfront with its prices. No AC, which is typical for europe but we had small rooms with little airflow so a but stagnant and stuffy made it difficult to sleep.

Relatively large room and bathroom

Very poorly lit at night. It was dark when we arrived, and very difficult to find the door. Whether the hotel is budget or luxury, I expect that there are multiple electrical outlets to charge personal devices within easy reach. We had to unplug the TV and bedlight to charge our phones.

Guest house was tastefully furnished and personable. Premises quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.

Asked to check in by 6pm and was a little late. If the staff had not still been there I am not sure I would have understood the outside key box and how to find my room.

We came late and had to call the staff. So helpful, explaining everything. Breakfast was great.
