"A friendly and comfortable accommodation option in Newton Stewart"

The hosts were very friendly, informative and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent, cooked to order and with plenty of choice. The place is easy to find, with good parking. The bedroom and bathroom were both warm, and easy to ventilate. Wifi very good, shower excellent, bed comfortable. Good quality all round, with good toiletries provided.

The room was perhaps a little on the small side (there is only room for a shallow cupboard as a wardrobe), though I only stayed two nights so it didn't bother me, and the price is reasonable for the size. The bathroom is nice and spacious though!

This property is very comforting and welcoming, warm, lovely decoration and excellent facilities including a beautiful guest lounge and dedicated breakfast room with everything you could wish for. The hosts Dane and Fay were so knowledgeable about the area, things to do and see and couldn’t do enough for us, even letting us know when the Aurora Borealis could be seen and offering de-icer for the car. Excellent and very friendly service. A home from home!

"Home away from home in Galloway"

I liked the cosy vibe of the place and the view from the window in my room (see photo). The hosts were so up beat and friendly that I felt very included, which is important if you are travelling solo. The dining room is open and cheery, and the breakfast was great - eggs were fresh with that lovely yellow colour you look for. My bed was comfortable, the water hot and strong in the shower and the area is really quiet so I slept like a log. Other pics are of the local area.

Umm it was overcast and raining but I can't blame The Stables Guesthouse for that!!!
