Old School Wolverton

Very cute cottage

A very pleasant and homely stay. Well equipped for visitors. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thankyou.

Location was excellent, within easy reach of everything. Local pub (The Galleon) was nice for a drink by the canal but don’t eat there. Easy walking distance for local restaurants. Property was nice and good parking. Nice to have milk & orange juice allocated to us in the fridge. Lovely scones with cream and jam waiting for us.

The room was small, nowhere to sit except downstairs The sink was too small so made it difficult to fill the kettle and wash. The strangest thing was a fire door for the bathroom!? We had to use our bags to prop it open, never come across this before. Bed was too soft, we both had backache. We had multiple emails

Lovely cottage and met our needs perfectly.

Well located for my work purposes and also had lovely access to some countryside and lovely morning runs. Eco-friendly household with lovely products and well appointed kitchen area. I stayed in the Railway room I think, downstairs and the bedroom was a good size. Shower and toilet are external to the bedroom - through the small hallway, living room and then kitchen, again, this is a good size. John was in contact with me prior to arriving and made sure I was settled in, even though he was away. Thank you John.

The top yale lock is a bit tricky, you have to get the knack of it and this was disconcerting at 9pm, in the dark when I arrived. I could imagine this being a problem to gaining access. This is the only issue I found.

It was lovely and cosy which was fab as it was December, we weren’t at all cold. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Also dog friendly so we were able to bring our older Cockapoo as long as he stayed downstairs, which he did. He loved his bed by the radiator!

Stairs are steep but that’s just the house. Smaller children might have a problem and people with balance issues.

Superb accommodation for a family of five, would definitely stay here again
