"2 nights was perfect but any longer wouldn't work"

The location,the river,bird life,quaint cottage.

Bed. Woke up with terrible backache. Needed a top sheet. Winter duvet omly in summer is a no no. Main door couldn't shut properly. Middle door unable to open from inside.

"Family Road Trip 2023"

The house is cozy and clean. It is right next to the river. Beautiful scenery lovely nature and the best place to relax. It was cold and rainy when we were there, but we enjoyed every moment. Would recommend to anyone looking to escape the busy buzz, just down the road. Kids could canoe and fish and my toddler loved Nugget (the jackrussel) I truly hope that Dee and her pretty boat house get the exposure it deserves.

We battled to find the place because we were looking for the house like the picture, which were only a funny story that turned into a good review because its a hidden gem 💎 down by the river.

The setting of the Boat house is definitely one of the best we have ever stayed - the view over the Mooi River is just so picturesque. Dee is a wonderful host and Nugget a constant companion.

Having read the reviews on the Boat House, one needs to understand what one is booking. It is an incredibly quaint, glamping vibe to it. And if you are coming for that quiet, tranquil, quirky vibe, you will love it. But if you are coming for a luxurious, serviced facility, then it will you will be disappointed. Some suggestions is yes it needs a deep clean, a plug that fits the sink and rechargeable lights and Braai tongs would be welcome. But other wise loved it.
