Ban Tidlay - SHA

It is a very quiet place, away from crowds and many tourists. I enjoyed the big windows with nice views towards the sea. It is a very clean place, with good wifi and a very friendly and nice host. Definitely recommend this place for people who want to relax away from the noise of tourist busy areas.

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location.

The owners are super friendly and helpful. its a beautiful location. a little out of the way, which we liked. a scooter is a most! and there a delicious restaurant 3 minute walk away. very quite and peaceful.

Great location and the room was clean, good AC and hot water

A few issues here. First, I booked for 10 nights and did not get the room I booked for the first 6. I was given the single bed room which was horrible. The last 4 nights I was given the room I originally booked and it was good . I could not leave as it was chinese new year and there were no rooms on the island available.

They clearly put me in the single room to make more money. (see above) I paid for and was only given a small discount. The husband and wife there were not friendly at all when I pointed out I had the wrong room and were completely annoyed that I was asking for some sort of compensation. I spoke with the brother on the phone and he was very kind and trying to sort it out and deal with the issue. I would speak with the brother on the phone and then he would speak with the wife (who was at the resort) and she was clearly arguing with him about giving me a discount. At one point I even used Google translate to translate the conversation between the husband and wife because they were clearly upset about me asking for compensation, and they were saying I should leave and that I was going to be nothing but problems. I think asking for a discount gyer being given a smaller room and cheaper room is fair for anyone. I would have changed palaces but everything was already full because of Chinese new year. Single room - Not cleaned well (gecko poop on shelves) Hot, no fridge, bathroom is outside, small little terrace right next to the road, have to keep curtains shut bathroom not in room, gets extremely hot because of afternoon sun It does have an air conditioner but it's loud Double room - second floor, large bed, private, nice balcony, had a fridge, ensure bathroom, clean . If this was the room I was given from the start I would not have had any issues .

Great location, beautiful views. We loved our little cottage. You'll need a motorbike to get around, but with hardly any traffic and good roads, that's easy.

All good. You get what you pay for. Great views are free!
