The Ramblers' Rest - Princetown

The hot tub. Beds were comfortable.

Very quirky, you had to turn the sink tap on to get the shower to work, there was something called Snoap instead of shampoo and shower gel (except that it had run out), everything was quite random and a bit ramshackle. More like a fun hostel than a hotel.

Great location, facilities were perfect for us and the hot tub a welcome addition Room was clean and the kitchenette had all you need

Nothing, is a quirky building with little steps in lots of places which would be an access issue for some.

We loved the jacuzzi, the bed was really, really comfy, the area was fantastic fir accessing the moors and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing (I'm nit-picking here)

What a wonderful experience. Great room with self catering facility; warm welcome; hot tub; drying room which was much needed after a day of heavy rain on the moors; coffee machine in room. I could go on. You must visit.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and had great facilities for making our own breakfast/ picnic for the day. It was lovely and warm (much appreciated after a day hiking in the cold, wet and windy conditions.) We were particularly appreciative of the drying room which had been provided. We were able to get our boots and waterproofs dry by the next day, ready for another hike. We also absolutely loved the outdoor facilities, the giant hot tub and the fab modern shower room were such a treat for our sore muscles and we were really impressed with the fully covered outdoor kitchen set up. The owners have really put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring outdoorsy people are well catered for, I'd definitely recommend this place for hikers, cyclists, runners or just anyone wanting to explore Dartmoor.

The common areas inside the hotel (hallways etc) look a bit tired and could do with a new lick of paint.
